Abstract
El objetivo de este estudio es describir los significados que le otorgan los padres y madres de hijos e hijas lesbianas, gays y bisexuales (LGB) de la comuna de San Francisco de Mostazal al momento de la develación de la orientación sexual no heterosexual de sus hijos e hijas. La investigación realizada, se ha desarrollado a partir del Paradigma Constructivista, con un enfoque Cualitativo y la Metodología de Análisis de Contenido, para obtener resultados que nos lleven a comprender y analizar los significados propuestos. En este contexto de investigación, se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas a 9 padres y madres de personas LGB, que fueron contactados a través de la Oficina de la Diversidad, dependiente de la Ilustre Municipalidad de San Francisco de Mostazal. Los padres y madres participantes en este estudio, significan la develación como una situación de peligro, en la cual sus hijos e hijas quedan expuestos y vulnerables ante su sociedad, desde donde serán juzgados y señalados por otros, debido a su orientación sexual no heterosexual, que derivaría en situaciones de discriminación. Asimismo, realizan un juicio personal, respecto de sus propias responsabilidades parentales y sobre el rol que han desempeñado respecto de la orientación sexual de sus hijos e hijas, cuestionando sus creencias y resignificando tanto su identidad familiar como su identidad social.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to describe the meanings given by fathers and mothers of lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) sons and daughters in the San Francisco de Mostazal commune at the time of disclosing the non-heterosexual sexual orientation of their sons and daughters. The research carried out has been developed from the Constructivist Paradigm, with a Qualitative approach and the Content Analysis Methodology, to obtain results that lead us to understand and analyze the proposed meanings. In this research context, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 9 fathers and mothers of LGB people, who were contacted through the Diversity Office, dependent on the Municipality de San Francisco de Mostazal. The fathers and mothers of this study mean the disclosure as a danger situation, in which their sons and daughters are exposed and vulnerable to the society, where they will be judged and singled out by others due to their non-heterosexual sexual orientation, which would lead to discrimination. Likewise, they make a personal judgment regarding their own parental responsibilities and about the role they have played regarding the sexual orientation of their sons and daughters, questioning their beliefs and re signify both their family identity and their social identity.
