Abstract
En la presente investigación se busca entender que, a pesar de los avances en cuanto a la participación de la mujer en la sociedad, su representación en la política sigue siendo baja e insuficiente, de forma evidente, al extrapolar y comparar los recientes hechos electorales, podemos verificar que la mujer no tiene una representación justa e igualitaria en los cargos de poder. Aunque hemos visto un crecimiento de participación femenina, demostramos que aún queda mucho para alcanzar una representación equitativa. Es fundamental seguir trabajando para eliminar las barreras que impiden una participación igualitaria y asegurar que las voces de las mujeres sean escuchadas y valoradas en todos los niveles de decisión política. También analizamos cómo los hitos marcados por mujeres políticas han cambiado la perspectiva social política en cuanto a la participación de la mujer en Chile. Un ejemplo notable es Michelle Bachelet, la primera y única presidenta mujer del país, quien implementó el primer gabinete con equidad de género. Además, exploramos la mirada de figuras experimentadas en el tema como Fanny Pollarolo y la opinión del analista político Claudio Moreno, entre otros personajes relevantes. Esta tesis busca evidenciar la falta de representatividad que enfrentan las mujeres en la política chilena, revelando diversos factores que varían entre generaciones. A pesar de los avances significativos, como la implementación de cuotas de género, una comisión constituyente paritaria y la elección de la primera presidenta mujer, Michelle Bachelet, las mujeres continúan enfrentando barreras estructurales y culturales. Estas incluyen la discriminación, los estereotipos de género y la violencia, tanto física como psicológica. Es crucial seguir investigando y visibilizando estas problemáticas para diseñar estrategias efectivas que garanticen una representación política equitativa y sostenible a largo plazo. La lucha por la igualdad de género en la política chilena es un proceso continuo que requiere el compromiso de toda la sociedad.

Abstract
This research seeks to understand that, despite the advances in terms of the general participation of women in society, their representation in politics remains low and insufficient. Shockingly, when extrapolating and comparing recent electoral events, we can verify that women do not have full representation in positions of power. Although we have seen an increase in female participation, we demonstrate that there is still a long way to go to achieve equitable representation. It is essential to continue working to eliminate the barriers that prevent equal participation and ensure that women's voices are heard and valued at all levels of political decision-making. We also analyze how the milestones marked by female politicians have changed the perspective of history regarding women's participation in Chile. A notable example is Michelle Bachelet, the first and only female president in the country, who implemented the first cabinet with gender equity. In addition, we explore the view of experienced figures on the subject such as Fanny Pollarolo and the opinion of political analyst Claudio Moreno, among other relevant figures. This thesis seeks to generate evidence in this research, the lack of representation that women face in Chilean politics revealing various factors that vary between generations. Despite significant advances, such as the implementation of gender quotas, a gender-equal constituent commission and the election of the first female president, Michelle Bachelet, women continue to face structural and cultural barriers. These include discrimination, gender stereotypes and violence, both physical and psychological. It is crucial to continue researching and making these challenges visible in order to design effective strategies that guarantee equitable and sustainable political representation in the long term. The fight for gender equality in Chilean politics is an ongoing process that requires the commitment of the entire society.
