Abstract
La razón por la que escogimos este tema en particular es debido a que nos dimos cuenta, hablando entre nosotras y con otros estudiantes de nuestra carrera, que existen varias dificultades al momento de realizar una interpretación simultánea, aún más cuando nos vemos expuestos a iniciar el curso como principiantes. Es por esto que decidimos indagar sobre los obstáculos psicológicos y físicos que se presentan en el proceso, explicar el por qué surgen y cómo se pueden solucionar, todo esto con el objetivo de ayudar a que futuros intérpretes puedan superar ciertos miedos, para que sepan que no están solos, que la mayoría los sufre y que con tiempo y práctica se puede salir adelante y superarlos. Para lograr llevar a cabo esta investigación, lo hicimos a través de una encuesta, la cual los alumnos de cuarto año cursando Interpretación Simultánea de la carrera de Traducción e Interpretariado Bilingüe (Inglés-Español) de la universidad UNIACC respondieron, haciéndonos saber lo que sienten y sus modalidades de preparación previa ante una interpretación simultánea. Gracias a las respuestas de tales estudiantes, y a la amplia investigación que realizamos como grupo, pudimos llegar a la conclusión que sí existen y se presentan dificultades relacionadas con los aspectos psicológicos y físicos, que es común entre intérpretes, pero que pese a ellos, se pueden trabajar y transformar en algo positivo.

Abstract
The reason why we chose this particular topic is because we realized, talking among ourselves and with other students of our major, that there are several difficulties when performing a simultaneous interpretation, even more when we are just starting the course as beginners. That is why we decided to investigate the psychological and physical obstacles that arise, explain why they arise and how they can be solved, with the aim of helping future interpreters to overcome certain fears, so that they know they are not alone, that most suffer from them and that with time and practice they can overcome them. In order to carry out this research, we did it through a survey, which the fourth year students of Simultaneous Interpreting of the Bilingual Translation and Interpreting major (English-Spanish) of UNIACC university answered, letting us know what they feel and their previous preparation methods before a simultaneous interpretation. Thanks to the responses of these students, and the extensive research we conducted as a group, we were able to conclude that difficulties related to psychological and physical aspects do exist and are present, which is common among interpreters, but that despite them, they can be worked on and transformed into something positive.
