Abstract
Esta investigación explora la traducción literaria, específicamente el género fantástico juvenil, utilizando como caso de estudio Ciudad de Hueso de Cassandra Clare y las siete técnicas de traducción de Vinay y Darbelnet. Se aplicaron tablas comparativas al texto original en inglés y su versión en español para analizar las técnicas. Se evaluaron y analizaron las siete técnicas en diversos contextos de la obra, abordando neologismos, frases coloquiales y situaciones características del género. El estudio destaca la complejidad del trabajo del traductor literario y la importancia del proceso creativo para preservar la esencia original de la obra.

Abstract
This research explores literary translation, specifically the young adult fantasy genre, with Cassandra Clare's City of Bone as a case study and Vinay and Darbelnet's seven translation techniques. Comparative tables were applied to the original English text and its Spanish version to analyze the techniques. The seven techniques were evaluated and analyzed in different contexts of the book, including neologisms, colloquial phrases and situations characteristic of the genre. The study highlights the complexity of the literary translator's work and the importance of the creative process to preserve the original essence of the work.
