Abstract
El trabajo en un archivo histórico continúa significando para quienes deseen en ello vivir laboralmente crecer en la disponibilidad a acompañar de forma proactiva los tiempos en los que las instituciones van asumiendo la responsabilidad que les toca en parte en la preservación de la memoria histórica presente en los acervos documentales, colecciones fotográficas, registros audiovisuales, etc. todos ellos un modo muy íntimo de asomarnos a otras épocas, y de compartir con personas que mucho antes que nosotros existiéramos caminaron por los mismos barrios que hoy nosotros transitamos. He trabajado desde el 2016 en el Archivo Histórico Capuchino, adentrándome en el Barrio Yungay, y comprendiendo a partir de la sedimentación de la memoria visual, de las texturas y de los colores del Barrio Yungay, que los Capuchinos aparecen en medio de este barrio, como una familia vecina, que se las ha ingeniado para permanecer de pie ante el paso del tiempo, sin embargo hoy la disminución vocacional y la terrible crisis de confianza que ha venido atravesando la Iglesia chilena durante los últimos años, hacen que la memoria textual, la memoria visual, la memoria audiovisual, la memoria de un grupo de hombres, de las más diversas naciones y pueblos, con acentos, con colores de ojos, con sonrisas, con espíritu de trabajo y de sacrificio se esforzaron por construir los sueños de los que sufrían, muchos de ellos vieron como las obras de sus manos se consumían en el fuego, y con las manos aún con la ceniza de los escombros comenzaban a marcar con sus manos laboriosas la madera que ellos mismos cortaban en los bosques del sur, en la Araucanía, felices de vivir en la más impresionante pobreza, hombres inteligentes, referentes en diversos ámbitos del saber (etnografía, filología, antropología, filosofía, teología), ocupaban la mayor parte de su tiempo en compartir la vida con la gente, con el pueblo mapuche.

Abstract
The work in an historic archive continues to be significant to those who wish to live of that in terms of work, grow in the availability of accompanying in a proactive way the times in which the institutions are assuming the responsibility that they are entitled, in part to the preservation of the historic memory present in the documental heritage, photographic collections, audiovisual records, etc. all of that in a very intimate way of gaze into another times and share with persons that walked the same neighborhoods that we walked today way before we even existed.
I’ve been working since 2016 in the Capuchino Historic Archive, going deep into the Yungay District and comprehending that since the sedimentation of the visual memory, of the textures and the colors of the Yungay District, that the Capuchinos appears in the middle of this district, like a neighbor family, that came up with ways of standing still before the passing of time, however, the vocational reduction today and the terrible trust crisis that the Chilean church has been going through in the last years, makes the textual memory, visual memory, audiovisual memory, the memory of a group of man, of the most diverse nations and people, with accents, with eye colors, with smiles, with spirits of work and sacrifice, they made an effort to build the dreams of which they suffered, many of them saw how the work of their hands were consumed by fire, and with the ashes of the rubble still on their hands, started to mark with their laborious hands the wood that they themselves cut from the forests of the south, in the Araucanía, happy of living in the most impressive poverty, intelligent man, knowledgeable in many fields of study (ethnography, philology, anthropology, philosophy, theology), occupied most of their time in sharing their lives with their people, the Mapuche People.
