Abstract
Se investigó cómo el uso de herramientas tecnológicas, específicamente el traductor automático y la inteligencia artificial, junto con el constante avance en estas tecnologías, afectaron o beneficiaron a estudiantes de la carrera. Definimos conceptos claves para entender lo que es la traducción, como su historia y técnicas, al igual que con la inteligencia artificial, definimos la historia de la traducción automática, al igual que casos de esta. Investigamos los inicios de la traducción y su enseñanza, las ventajas y desventajas, además recopilamos información con profesores de distintos ramos y con los mismos alumnos de nuestra carrera, para lograr analizar cómo el avance tecnológico al día de hoy afectó nuestro campo laboral y cuáles podrían ser algunas de sus consecuencias.

Abstract
This project investigates how the use of technological tools, specifically machine translation and artificial intelligence, alongside their ongoing advancements, has impacted or benefited students in the translation program. To understand the meaning of translation, we defined key concepts that included its history, techniques, and artificial intelligence. We also provided an overview of machine translation, as well as some cases. We investigated the origins of translation and its teaching, analyzing both its advantages and disadvantages, and gaining insights from professors in various courses and students in our program, we were able to gather insights. By doing this, we were able to assess how the technological advances of today have influenced our field and anticipate any potential consequences.
